The Watch

The Watch is concerned about the increasing pressure towards feudalism in the United States from corporations, social regressives, warmongers, and the media. We also are concerned with future history concerning our current times, as non-truths which are “widely reported” become the basis for completely false narratives.

Rove and the Plame Game

Two things, copied from an article -- but put in reverse order...

2. The Newsweek article said an e-mail Cooper sent his bureau chief after briefly talking with Rove stated that "it was, KR said, Wilson's wife, who apparently works at the agency on wmd (weapons of mass destruction) issues who authorized the trip."

1. Rove has carefully chosen his words when questioned about the leak. "I didn't know her name. I didn't leak her name," he told CNN last year when asked if he had had anything to do with it.

Rove might be able to claim that he didn't specifically leak her name, but it seems that he leaked that it was Wilson's wife -- even if she didn't assume Wilson's name when they got married. I think Rove should be asked a more specific question, like "Did you leak the marital relationship of the CIA agent and the name of her husband so that anyone with half a brain could figure out who the agent was?"

This sure seems like treason to me.
